The National Strategic Reference Framework for 2007-2013 (hereinafter - NSRF), prepared by the Ministry of Finance, is a policy planning document which determines the single strategy for acquisition of funding from the European Union structural funds and the Cohesion fund in the relevant member state.
The NSRF refers to funding from the structural funds and the Cohesion fund available for Latvia for the financial period 2007-2013.
Coordination of the NSRF priorities with the NDP will provide support of the European Union funds for implementation of the NDP objectives.
The NSRF implementation envisages three operational programmes:

the first programme pertains to support of employment and investment in human resources,
-
the second programme – to support of businesses, innovation, science and research,
-
the third programme – to improvement of infrastructure and public services.
